Providing hope, health, and happiness for needy children since 1992.

Every night hundreds of hungry and frightened children sleep fitfully in sheds, alleys, or open fields. Every day these same children roam streets and alleys foraging through garbage or begging from strangers to get enough food simply to stay alive.

Destitute children like these need help. They deserve some care-free years when their basic needs are supplied: food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, education. They deserve a life of hope.

Jenifer Mendoza's life was thrown into chaos when her father died an agonizing death. He was a farm worker who inhaled toxic herbicide that he was spraying on the landowner's property. Jenifer's mother had no skills to get a job other than to do occasional laundry jobs for sympathetic villagers. Living in a storage room at the back of a local church building, five-year-old Jenifer was faced with a hopeless future. But when Childhaven International learned of Jenifer's plight, they took on her support. Jenifer's mother was provided with monthly funds to buy food. Jenifer was provided clothing, vitamins, education expenses, and medical attention when she needed it. Recently, Jenifer graduated from the sixth grade and is continuing her studies in the secondary school in her Honduran village. Jenifer wants to become a teacher, and with help from Childhaven international, Jenifer can achieve that noble goal.

Childhaven International has helped and is helping scores of precious children just like Jenifer, some in Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and some in the United States. And there are hundreds of others who desperately need the hope-giving help that Jenifer is receiving, and these destitute children need YOUR help. Please open your hearts to give a life of hope, health, and happiness to a precious child.
